Today I learned..
How to calm myself down with meditation with a few wellness tracks my school offers. The idea is simple enough, you get in a comfortable posture, relax and focus on your bodily sensations. It is harder than it sounds because the first few times I did it - I noticed I often got distracted and had to try and regain focus. But listening to a track with calm ocean waves, waves crashing on the surface, and water helped me relax today.
I have a bit of a dental phobia. I tend to flip out when I have to go to the dentist.. but as of late I've been trying to address my phobia, and today I learned.. meditation works for me.
Could it work for you? Give it a try, just don't try at night when you're getting ready for bed.. you just might fall asleep. ;P
